The proposed federation with St Mary’s College

Written by

In March 2015, the Governing Bodies of St Thomas More and St Mary’s College met in order to consider the benefits of a formal partnership between the two schools. A strong case emerged for federation where both schools will be able to retain their own identities but will be governed by a single federated Governing Body and led by a single Executive Head Teacher with statutory responsibility for both schools.

I strongly believe that the federation of our two schools is in the best interests of all our students and staff. Importantly, it will ensure Catholic primary education can continue to be part of a high quality educational offer in the west of Hull.

I invite you to respond to this proposal and hope that you will support it.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs Collette Braithwaite

Chair, St Thomas More Governing Body
